Boston Dynamics released the first generation of Atlas in 2013 as part of the DARPA Robotics Challenge (DRC). The latest electric iteration of Atlas is stronger, more nimble, and designed for complex real-world applications, such as those in industrial settings, including automotive manufacturing lines.
